The notorious sheer dress that Kate Middleton wore when she piqued Prince William’s interest at a St. Andrew’s University fashion show will be auctioned next month in London.
Rumor has it Prince William’s interest in Kate shifted from platonic to romantic when she sashayed down the runway at the charity event in 2002. Prince William reportedly turned to his college friend Fergus and said, “Kate’s hot!”

The brown number, originally designed by Charlotte Todd to be worn as a skirt, is expected to fetch around $13,000 at Kerry Taylor Auctions on March 17. Two of Princess Diana’s gowns will also be included in the auction. (via NBC)
