Looks like Charlie Sheen’s Twitter bio — “unemployed winner” — has  become a reality.

After weeks of incessant media appearances by Sheen, including a very strange webcast called “Sheen’s Korner,” which appeared over the weekend, Warner Bros. announced on Monday afternoon that it is terminating Sheen from the hit show Two and a Half Men.

According to Variety, the studio sent a letter to Sheen on Monday confirming the termination, despite the fact that the actor has one more year left on his contract. Reps for the studio said the fate of the popular show is up in the air, but regardless, it will not include Sheen.

Perhaps in preparation for when this news would hit the Internet, Sheen tweeted on Monday that he is seeking a social-media intern: “I’m looking to hire a #winning INTERN with #TigerBlood.” Posted on Internships.com (which upon further investigation appears to be — oddly enough — one of Sheen’s Twitter sponsors), the job is described as a “unique internship opportunity” that will allow a “hardworking, self-motivated, creative, resourceful and social media savvy individual to work closely with Sheen in leveraging his social network. The internship will focus on executing a social media strategy that will build on the success Charlie Sheen has attained in setting the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to reach one million followers on Twitter.”

Applicants will be selected in mid-March for a round of interviews, allowing them to get one step closer to working with “Hollywood’s most trending celebrity.” We shudder at the thought.

Sheen has yet to release a statement on his termination from Two and a Half Men, but judging by his recent actions, we’re sure he won’t stay silent for long. What do you have to say, Charlie?
