Talk about slow to commit: Although he’s been dating his girlfriend Priscilla Chan since college, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg just got around to listing himself as “in a relationship” on his own site.
Following on the heels of the pair creating a Facebook page for their dog, Beast, Zuckerberg — notoriously mum about his personal life — listed himself as “in a relationship” with Priscilla Chan on March 20, calling the update “slightly overdue.” So either Zuckerberg is feeling the pressure to follow his motto of “trying to make the world a more open place” or as Forbes suggests, perhaps an engagement announcement is afoot?
Yes, NewsFeed finds it a little silly to monitor Zuck’s love life. It’s not like he’s Prince William, right? But when you’re one of the richest people in the world and were recently named TIME’s Person of the Year, you might start to consider other parts of your life that need to reach the next level. So mazel tov, Mark and Priscilla. You’ve got an adorable dog, and now you’ve got a Facebook-official relationship. (All that money can’t hurt, either.)
