Good news, Taco Bell lovers (those exist, right?): the lawsuit against the fast food franchise has been dropped.

An Alabama law firm had filed suit against Taco Bell over the actual beefiness of the restaurant chain’s ground beef. The suit alleged that Taco Bell’s “taco meat filling” didn’t meet the USDA’s definition of ground beef, as it only contained 36% meat.

As a response to the suit, Taco Bell took out ads and began publishing the recipe for their seasoned beef — 88% meat! — which apparently was all it took to appease the opposition. The Alabama firm has issued a statement, explaining why they’ve dropped the suit:

“From the inception of this case, we stated that if Taco Bell would make certain changes regarding disclosure and marketing of its ‘seasoned beef’ product, the case could be dismissed.”

So meat lovers, go forth and eat. (via Consumerist)
