Actor Chris Colfer

His incredible screen presence on Glee earned him an appearance on the 2011 TIME 100 List, but actor Chris Colfer has just begun to tap into his far-reaching abilities in the industry.

Colfer has been named as the author of a pilot episode for an upcoming Disney Channel show, The Little Leftover Witch, in a move that reflects his off-screen talent as well. The show will be based on a children’s book by Florence Laughlin and follows the story of a young witch who gets taken in by a family after her broom crashes.

Glee fans have no need for alarm, as Colfer plans to stay loyal to the show. He will return to filming for the third season in the fall after touring with some of the cast this summer.
