After months of speculation, The Palace revealed Friday morning that Sarah Burton, the creative director of London fashion house Alexander McQueen, designed Kate Middleton’s wedding gown. Burton took over as creative director after the late British designer took his life in Feb. 2010. She’d worked as McQueen’s assistant for 14 years, but it’s safe to say that with the design of Middleton’s dress, Burton has made a name for herself.
