The latest product to feel the effect of the Middleton touch are the black patent leather espadrille wedges worn by the Duchess the morning after her April 29 nuptials. Designed by British label L.K. Bennett, the wedges have been a staple in Kate’s wardrobe for some time, but received new attention amid the wedding madness. And like any smart retailer, L.K. Bennett’s cashing in on the world’s fascination with Kate’s fashions.

Renamed “The Kate,” L.K. Bennett will reissue the style in June, but there’s already a wait list—a common theme among other re-released items from Kate’s closet. Following the release of her engagement photos, Reiss re-issued the white dress that Kate wore for the shoot, and the shift sold out almost instantly. And beyond just boosting sales for L.K. Bennett, Kate’s likely to inspire a broader interest in wedge shoes in general. After all, even Chelsy Davy has hopped on the wedge shoe train lately.
