NewsFeed’s Feifei Sun rounds up the brilliant and bizarre from this week in fashion.

Fascinator for Sale. Princess Beatrice’s pink fascinator stole the show at the Royal Wedding and became an overnight Internet meme. Now, the young royal is using that attention for a good cause, auctioning off her head piece on eBay for UNICEF and Children in Crisis. [People]

Vogue is a serious magazine. Or at least that’s what the fashion bible wanted readers to think when they published a profile of Asma al-Assad, the first lady of Syria, in February. But the hugely flattering piece came out as Syria’s president sanctioned brutal crackdowns on protesters, which have been condemned by the White House and UN. Vogue initially stood by its story, but the profile has since disappeared from the magazine’s website. [Gawker]

A Hair-y Cocktail. Real Housewives of New York‘s Kelly Bensimon (famous for…well, what are any of them famous for?) is trying to stay in the limelight with a new DIY hair care video. Bensimon’s stylist told her to apply a mixture of olive oil, salt, lemon juice and vodka to her hair to boost her locks, and naturally, the reality T.V. star did exactly what she was told. Don’t try this one at home, folks. [YouTube]

More Hair News. Donald Trump’s been getting a lot of attention for flirting with a 2012 presidential bid. But Rolling Stone recently asked the real estate magnate the really important question—how he styles his infamous hair. For the record, Trump uses Head & Shoulders, lets his hair air dry and uses a comb, of course, to style his comb-over. [Rolling Stone]

Basketball Sandals. Don’t you just hate it when you want to play sports but wear sandals at the same time? No? Well, Converse’s new shoes let you do that anyway.  [The Hairpin]
