Amid the costume commotion and mixed reviews, we won’t see a new Wonder Woman this fall.
With David E. Kelley of Boston Legal fame at the helm, comic book fans were expecting a shoe-in with the Wonder Woman reboot. But NBC has reportedly given the Amazonian princess the ax.

To be played by Adrianne Palicki from Friday Night Lights, Wonder Woman appeared in an updated suit from the 1970s original. Palicki’s portrayal shed the star-spangled booty shorts of the Lynda Carter era in favor of a skin-tight (and super shiny) red and blue suit. The costume garnered criticism for its lack of Americana – chatter revolved around the getup’s throwback to Greek mythology instead.
Looks like it’s back to the jungle for the Amazonian warrior – she just wasn’t quite ready for prime time.
