This year’s Coachella festival sold out in just six days, so festival organizers have announced that next year the three-day music and arts event will take place twice. An identical musical line-up will reportedly play two weekends in 2012: April 13-15 and April 20-22. Advance tickets go on sale this Friday, June 3. The three-day passes will cost $269, although organizers do offer an installment plan, and for good reason: hipsters are poor.
Are Coachella organizers being thoughtful, or are they just trying to double their profits? And will they really be able to convince someone like Kanye West to perform in the middle of the desert twice? It gets pretty hot out there, you know.
