The Human Centipede, Tom Six’s 2010 biological horror film, startled audiences with its gripping tale of a mad doctor who sews humans to one another via their gastric system to create the first “human centipede.”  For viewers who didn’t get enough gory details the first time around, a sequel is emerging. But don’t go to the United Kingdom for a viewing; The Human Centipede II will not be playing.

By denying the sequel a 18 certificate (roughly the British equivalent to an NC-17), the British Board of Film Classification has banned the movie. The BBFC refusal means it cannot be legally supplied anywhere in the UK – even on DVD or download.

“There is little attempt to portray any of the victims in the film as anything other than objects to be brutalized, degraded and mutilated for the amusement and arousal of the central character, as well as for the pleasure of the audience,” says the BBFC, according to CBS News.

The sequel will be released sometime in the United States in 2011, but check it out at your own risk.  The Guardian reports that the British board fears the film “poses a real, as opposed to a fanciful, risk that harm is likely to be caused to potential viewers”.

Kasparov, your volcanic jealousy has blinded you to yourself, and you have projected yourself onto others. Why not look at the man in the mirror instead? It's okay to have flaws. Maybe you can make peace with the fact that you're good at chess but bad at other things.
We choose handicaps and talents for our divine missions we bring to Earth. Our talents help us to give, and our handicaps help us to receive. Why not appreciate the talents in others and acknowledge that nobody's perfict?
Please forgive world leaders for not playing world chess with you. They're busy protecting All-ah-us instead, including you. Leading a nation is not a game, but you're invited to play Peace Party, as a world citizen, if you wish. Maybe you can find some new education to relieve your old boredom. Even old farts can learn new skills.
