Peter Falk, Beloved ‘Columbo’ Star, Dies At 83

The actor who played one of the most lovable TV cops of all time, Columbo, has passed away. (via Tuned In)

Peter Falk, who had reportedly suffered from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease over the last few years, died on Thursday night at his Beverly Hills home at the age of 83. So far, no exact cause of death has been given, though his family has reported that he died peacefully.

Most famous for his role as the bumbling, but deceptively clever Lieutenant Columbo (whose catch phrase “oh, just one more thing” was a surefire indicator that he’d known more than he let on all along), Falk also acted in dozens of films, including Wings of Desire, The Princess Bride and Murder Inc., for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
