Don’t fret if you missed the late-night shows because you were too busy putting together your costume for the U.S. premiere of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Part 2. Just check out NewsFeed’s highlights below:
Monday: The Colbert Report
The company Talisman Energy has made a coloring book to assure kids that hydrofracking isn’t as dangerous as critics say, but Colbert still thinks it’s a big fracking deal.
Tuesday: Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
While Harry Potter fans are sobbing harder than Moaning Myrtle now that the movie series has ended, Fallon looks on the bright side.
Wednesday: The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
Jerry Seinfeld stopped by to make sure Stewart did not go overboard with jokes about Michele Bachmann’s husband Marcus, whom the Daily Show host finds to be quite effeminate for someone who runs a clinic that encourages gay men to become straight.
Thursday: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Bristol Palin discussed her chin surgery, her memoir, and her big fib to her mother, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, about when she lost her virginity. Hooked on the reality TV world after appearing on Dancing with the Stars, Bristol also talked about her new reality show on the BIO network. It sounds like a smaller-scale version of MTV’s The Real World, but maybe the presence of her two-and-a-half-year-old son Tripp will keep things from getting out of hand.
Best Guest Interview: Emma Watson on The Late Show with David Letterman
Actress Emma Watson reminisced about how she landed the part of Hermione Granger in the Potter movie series. Letterman also got her to fess-up about her drinking experiences and why she prefers American Potter fans to British Potter fans.
