London Riots: See Videos of the Chaos

After a weekend marked by riots in London, videos depicting the chaos have begun to emerge.

The riots reportedly began as a protest against the killing of 29-year-old Mark Duggan by police officers in Tottenham, but have since devolved into an excuse to loot and wreak havoc. The above video was uploaded to YouTube by user itdrewitself and it depicts the fires started in the Tottenham riots, through beautiful time-lapsed footage.

However, the riots — which have spread to the north London boroughs of Edmonton, Enfield, Islington, Ponders End and Walthamstow, as well as the Oxford Circus and Brixton areas — are depicted much more chillingly in footage from the ground.
