Who’s the best dressed in all the land? If you’re a faithful reader of Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List then you probably won’t be surprised. The magazine’s annual compilation has all the royals, politicos,¬†financiers and celebrities that you’d expect.

Hitting the list, much to no one’s surprise, are: Kate Middleton (but that’s “H.R.H. THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE” to you, thank you very much); First Lady Michelle Obama (accompanied by husband Barack on the best-dressed couple list, which is a first); and NewsFeed’s personal favorite, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

Back for the second time are Carey Mulligan, Tilda Swinton and Lady Gaga. However, there are a few fresh faces on the fashion list, though none of them come as much of a surprise. They include Justin Timberlake, IMF’s new managing director Christine Lagarde and NBC anchor Brian Williams.

Are all these people really that fashionable? Let’s put it this way: no one on the list is particularly un-fashionable, but everyone is particularly famous and powerful.
