Who’s the best dressed in all the land? If you’re a faithful reader of Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List then you probably won’t be surprised. The magazine’s annual compilation has all the royals, politicos, financiers and celebrities that you’d expect.

Hitting the list, much to no one’s surprise, are: Kate Middleton (but that’s “H.R.H. THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE” to you, thank you very much); First Lady Michelle Obama (accompanied by husband Barack on the best-dressed couple list, which is a first); and NewsFeed’s personal favorite, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

Back for the second time are Carey Mulligan, Tilda Swinton and Lady Gaga. However, there are a few fresh faces on the fashion list, though none of them come as much of a surprise. They include Justin Timberlake, IMF’s new managing director Christine Lagarde and NBC anchor Brian Williams.

Are all these people really that fashionable? Let’s put it this way: no one on the list is particularly un-fashionable, but everyone is particularly famous and powerful.
