Fried Butter on a Stick? The Iowa State Fair’s Artery-Clogging Offerings

You know, exactly what it sounds like.

Two grilled cheese sandwiches serve as buns on either side of a one-pound hamburger, with mac and cheese on top.

We presume it doesn't taste any different than regular PB&J, but how cute is the presentation?

The traditional fair food gets a Southern twist.

One of the healthier options, we think. This sandwich is made with grilled chicken, chopped onions, bell peppers and Monterey Jack cheese.

Vanilla ice cream is covered with cinnamon sugar, tortilla flakes and toasted coconut before being dipped in chocolate sauce.

Beer from more than a dozen Iowa breweries, because you have to somehow wash down all that food.
