You can’t catch a break, can you, T.I?
As soon as Atlanta-based rapper T.I. walked out of jail on Wednesday, he tweeted his freedom and started focusing on plans for a VH1 reality show, set to air this December. But first, the “Live Your Life” M.C. traveled from the federal prison in Arkansas — where he’d been held on a probation violation for the last 10 months — to the halfway house where he was to finish the final month of his sentence, as was planned. But being the rock star that he is, he took the trip in style, using a luxury tour bus.

In T.I.’s case, the mode of transportation can’t be “Whatever You Like,” because after he got off the bus he took to Atlanta, the feds grabbed him and put him in custody at an Atlanta medium security facility, placing freedom just beyond his reach.
It was unclear what rule T.I. broke by going to a halfway house in a fancy bus, outside of just being ostentatious. His lawyer Steve Sadow told TMZ.com, “We are awaiting the opportunity to quickly resolve whatever the issue may be that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has with T.I.’s method of transportation, bus, from Arkansas to Atlanta, so that T.I. can return to the halfway house to complete the remaining days of his sentence.”
He told the website the issue was not drug-related.
