NewsFeed’s Feifei Sun rounds up the brilliant and bizarre from this week in fashion.

Leopard Print Puppy Sneakers. They make an appearance in a leaked image from Jeremy Scott’s new adidas ObyO collection, and we’re really hoping that they make an appearance in stores, too. You may remember Scott as the designer who showed meat dresses on his runway last year. [Vice]

Mommy Chic. In news that’s not terribly surprising, New York City mothers are dressing up in designer labels to drop off their kids at school. [New York Times]

The Michelle Obama Effect. Just days after the First Lady wore a one-shoulder violet gown by Doo-Ri Chung, Macy’s announced the Korean designer announced would design a diffusion line for the retailer. [WWD]

Cover Girl. Rooney Mara, who will play Lisbeth Salander in the forthcoming film adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, appears on the November cover of Vogue. And she’s wearing a black Ralph Lauren dress that could. not. be. more appropriate for the photo shoot. [Vogue]

$19,000 Shoelaces. Yes, you can get handmade 24-carat gold shoelaces for just under $20K. [Fashionista]
