It can't hurt, right?

When Lindsey Anne Miller saw 50/50 in September, the “cancer comedy” hit close to home. Miller was diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer in October 2010, just days after the Los Angeles-based master’s student turned 25.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s portrayal of a similar situation brought tears to her eyes, but it also inspired her to go out on a limb.

On November 14, Miller posted a video to Youtube in which she flat-out asked Gordon-Levitt to coffee to jump back into the dating scene.

Miller’s blog, “i am a liver,” detailed her thought process as such: “After seeing Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s performance and seeing/reading some of his subsequent interviews about the film I thought, ‘This guy gets it. And he’s cute. I wonder if I could ever run into him somewhere.’ But even though I live in LA, it seems impossible to find him.”

So Miller put herself out there in the most literal way possible, and she didn’t ask for much. At the end of the short clip, she sweetly and simply says, “Just a cup of coffee with you would make me happy.”

It might be a long shot, but something similar worked on Timberlake, didn’t it?
