New Year’s Eve Sequel
Plot: The new flick New Year’s Eve features so many celebrities that none is on screen for longer than 15 minutes. Garry Marshall’s film follows up his 2010 Valentine’s Day, which also featured a slew of famous faces for very short amounts of time. In keeping with tradition, SNL set up for the next round of multi-celebrity films, this one titled The Apocalypse. The trailer runs through dozens of them portrayed in the film, from A-listers Drew Barrymore and Ashton Kutcher to no-listers Casey Anthony and Lou Bega and even inanimate objects like the FOX NFL Robot. Keep an eye out for the Osama bin Laden cameo at the end.
Best Line: “Starring literally thousands of your favorite celebrities, like Al Roker and Christina Aguilera…”

Stefon on Weekend Update
Plot: With every new season comes an old standard – the gold standard – Stefon. Offering up his hot tips for tourists this winter, Stefon always manages to skip over the usual haunts like Rockefeller Center and Macy’s. Even when he covers his mouth with his hands to shield the inevitable laughter, Bill Hader never manages to disappoint as Stefon. Even invoking a little holiday cheer, Stefon has the best intentions that oft-annoyed Seth Meyers seems to be warming up to.
Best Line: “Opened and condemned in 1904, this seasonal psych ward is a creation of cartoon character Menorah the Explorer.”
