It’s all the rage now: Take a historic event, create a Twitter account and start Tweeting in real-time, as if it was all happening before our eyes. So don’t be surprised that Joseph of Nazareth has started live Tweeting about his relationship with Mary, her “foreign” child and their trip to Bethlehem (which is going well, apparently).

An anonymous poster has already dropped over 200 Tweets via the account @joseph_von_naza, increasing the frequency of the Tweets leading up to the big event on Christmas (but shhh, don’t tell Joseph when baby Jesus will come, he doesn’t know yet).

He has mentioned things such as a voice telling him that he should stay with Mary (or could that have been an angel in a dream?) and has admired the roads built by Herod. He has even posted pictures of camels he is contemplating buying.

With over 12,500 followers taking a look at Joseph, expect a few more days of active Tweeting before the final event, if Joseph and Mary actually make it to Bethlehem. Oh, the drama of it all.
