Stuffing on a Stick

Just in time for the holidays, NewsFeed came across this gem for our list of the Oddest Holiday Recipes. But Stuffing on a Stick leaves an identifiable trail of grease into our Most Gluttonous Recipes as well. Seemingly out of a state fair cookbook on steroids, Paula Deen takes a Turkey Day staple, tosses it into a hot oil bath and skewers it. Because forks are so overrated — as is a tactful description; the chef herself compares the consistency of this dish to that of a “lumpy corn dog.” Not helping, Paula, not helping.
Fried Butter Balls

Like to fry things in butter, but at a loss for what to cook up? Paula Deen has the answer: simply deep fry… more butter. That’s right, in this recipe Deen encourages us not to eat foods fried in butter, but instead has us fry butter itself. First, of course, we must mix it with cream cheese. Then we use a small ice cream scoop to form it into balls. But don’t worry: there’s no actual ice cream involved. That would make it unhealthy.
