After becoming the first of his kind to ever win Best in Show, TIME reported, “Champion K-Run’s Park Me in First,” has turned his energy away from blue ribbons and toward more selfless work. Uno, as he’s more commonly called, and Westminster announcer David Frei toured the country to conduct canine therapy work, according to Vetstreet.com.
But it’s not all work and no play for Uno the Beagle. According to Vetstreet.com, as part of his Beagle Across America tour, the puppy “threw” the first pitch at baseball games, visited the White House and sat atop a float during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
After his win in 2008, O Magazine‘s Martha Beck included him in a story about charisma entitled “Laws of Attraction.” “Whatever he’s doing — striding past paparazzi, greeting a cheering crowd, or licking a reporter — Uno the Beagle embodies pure charisma,” she wrote. “I’ve come to believe that there’s no better way to amp up your charisma than to follow his example.”
Lately though, Uno has been keeping out of the limelight and relaxing with his co-owner, Caroline Dowell.
