The real national anthem of Kazakhstan just can’t catch a break.

At the Amir of Kuwait International Shooting Grand Prix Wednesday, the women’s champion from the central Asian country was treated to the parody anthem from the 2007 film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan instead of the actual one during the awards ceremony. The athlete handles it well, hand on heart, as her moment of glory is underscored by “Kazakhstan’s prostitutes cleanest in the region” instead of  “My Kazakhstan’s” real lyrics of “sky of golden sun,” RT.com notes.  Just a few weeks ago, The Kazakh anthem was mistakenly replaced by Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ La Vida Loca” at the opening of the annual ski festival as state dignitaries looked on in horror.
