American women pay some $7 billion a year on cosmetics, according to Reuters. That means every human being on Earth would have to donate one dollar to fund U.S. women’s beauty needs.

On a quest to determine which U.S. cities are the most beauty-obsessed, InStyle (which, like TIME, is a part of Time Inc.) teamed with the crew at Foursquare, an app that allows users to track where they’ve been by “checking in” from their smart phones. The team tallied data from its 15 million users to reveal which cities are home to the most check-ins at beauty and cosmetics stores.

Topping the charts is Fresno, Calif., with more than 300,000 check-ins at beauty-related retail outlets like Ulta and Sephora. Fresno, which sits right in the center of the Golden State, is home to five beauty schools and multiple cosmetics stores, InStyle reports. Silver and bronze medals go to Lubbock, Texas and Tulsa, Okla., which rounded out the list at numbers two and three, respectively.

Champaign, Ill., Pensacola, Fla., San Francisco, New York and Houston all appeared within the top 10. But, in an unheralded turn of events, Los Angeles didn’t make the list, nor did Miami, recently named the country’s vainest city.

Though there’s nothing too socially unacceptable about frequenting cosmetics stores, as a general piece of advice, NewsFeed warns against getting too check-in happy, lest you end up like these people.
