Fans of the 90s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” (read: everyone) know that Alfonso Ribiero’s greatest contribution to the world is the Carlton Dance. The dorky arm-swinging move, best performed to Tom Jones while singing into a candle, is the stuff of 90s television legend. When watching reruns of the show, or sometimes just walking down the aisle of the grocery store, one may stop to wonder what ever happened to Ribiero. Yesterday we found the answer to that very important question: He’s still doing the Carlton Dance.

The actor reprised his most famous dance steps at the front of a flash mob yesterday, joined by hundreds of “Carlton Dancers” across North America in an attempt to break the world record for the Largest Simultaneous Flash Mob.

As Gawker reports, the event was a marketing stunt, organized by marketing firm ViSalus to promote its Body by Vi Challenge, but we’ll put that aside for a moment and just revel in the rebirth of the finest dance move since the great Molly Ringwald boogie of 1985.
