Breaking Bad, AMC’s wildly popular television show about meth manufacturers, may be on hiatus, but that doesn’t mean the action has to stop. The intense drama jumped off the silver screen in an unlikely forum: High school politics.

Maxwell Ulin is running for student body president at the Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles. He has some stiff competition in the form of Summer Kennedy, who enlisted actor Giancarlo Esposito — a.k.a. Breaking Bad‘s machiavellian drug lord Gus Fring — to star in a video endorsing her candidacy. In response, Ulin made a bold move that could have been ripped from the Breaking Bad playbook: He formed an alliance with Fring’s rival Walter White.

The result was a video in which actor Bryan Cranston, in character as White, suggests you vote for Maxwell Ulin for student body president. No, he strongly suggests it. After all, you wouldn’t want to end up like his  colleague, Fring. Or should he say, “former colleague”? White isn’t going it alone in this endorsement. Jesse Pinkman, (actor Aaron Paul) has his back… so Summer better watch hers. Wow, those Los Angeles high schools really are cutthroat.
In case you were wondering, Crossroads is no run-of-the-mill high school. The prep school is the alma mater of Kate Hudson, Jack Black, Zooey Deschanel, and Maya Rudolph, according to Yahoo. So if you’re considering a run for student council any time soon, consider the bar raised; you’d better bring your A-(list) game.
