As summer vacation approaches it means one thing at high schools across the country: Prank season. It’s a glorious tradition that dates back to the paleolithic era, when a classroom of Neanderthals took all the rocks from their classroom and replaced them with other rocks. The age-old custom continues today, extending from chemistry class to Georgia Tech to the storied halls of the Pentagon to Abby Kelley Foster High School in Worcester, Mass.

History teacher Mike Penney invited his students to reflect on the highs and lows of school year for his video camera. Penny then conscripted his fellow faculty members to bust a move in the background while the kids were talking. He then set the footage to Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” and released the video into the wilds of the Internet. The result is far superior to any yearbook entry. Students, the bar has been raised.
