It was a few minutes of unabashed pop for the channel-surfers at home, and may have just temporarily hypnotized the live audience with that stubbornly undeniable earworm chorus.
Meanwhile, the hit-making potential of anything “Call Me Maybe” related now seems to be peaking. Even the guys behind the “Baracks Dubs” Obama cover of the song have said that choosing a Carly Rae Jepsen hit has made the clip wildly popular.
