This fighter for the Confederacy, standing stiff and tall with an intent stare on his face, left an ambrotype of himself with Mrs. L.M.C. Lee of Corinth, Miss., on the eve of the Battle of Shiloh. The soldier never returned and is presumed to have been killed in battle.
