With more than a half dozen wildfires burning across the state, Colorado is facing its worst wildfire season in over a decade. From the High Park Wildfire, west of Ft. Collins, to the Waldo Canyon Fire, west of Colorado Springs, more than 35,000 people have been evacuated from their homes and over 180,000 acres have been destroyed. The fires have eased with the help of cooler temperatures and lighter winds—as of Wednesday, the High Park fire was 100 percent contained and the Waldo fire was 80 precent contained with some evacuees being let back into their neighborhoods. A second body has been located in a burned home while others are still reported missing.
