Several reports have arisen concerning the bar fight that broke out between rappers Chris Brown and Drake during the wee hours of Thursday morning.  Some say it was Meek Mill, not Drake in the SoHo bar that night. Others say it absolutely was Drake and that there is physical evidence to prove it. Some say there were bottles, others say guns, some say it was about Rihanna, a $2,000 bottle of champagne and a note (in the conservatory! with the candlestick!), and no one seems to be sure.

One fact is clear — bottles were thrown across the room injuring five bystanders and leaving Chris Brown with a gash in his chin, which he soon after tweeted a picture of along with several vulgar comments about the events. The NYPD is currently investigating many of the other claims, including the possible shots fired.

The profane tweets and the picture were both removed by Brown, but as they well know, the Internet never forgets. A number of retweets still point to the photo of Brown’s bloodied chin.

Brown has since spoken with police, and a representative went on formal record saying that Brown and his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, had been victims of a “brutal attack.” Brown’s management also tried to do damage control, tweeting Friday that “There were no punches thrown, just glass.” What a relief.

Most of the reports agree that the fight had something to do with the singer Rihanna — Brown’s ex-girlfriend — whom he was infamously arrested for beating. Rihanna briefly dated Drake after Brown but the relationship was short lived due to Rihanna’s “fragile” state from her relationship with Brown. Brown and Rihanna have since collaborated on songs, leading some sources to report that the two are now on better terms.

Drake’s representation released a statement saying that the singer was on his way out of the club when the alleged fight broke out and that “he did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.” Drake told police he was unable to speak with them because of a concert but said he would contact his attorney at a more convenient time.

The plot, we’re sure, will continue to thicken.
