Luka Magnotta, the suspect in the killing and dismemberment of a Chinese student, pleaded not guilty to five charges including first degree murder.

A Canadian porn actor suspected of killing a Chinese student and mailing the body parts to political parties and schools pleaded not guilty on Tuesday. Luka Rocco Magnotta, 29, entered his plea via videoconference from a Montreal detention center after being extradited to Canada from Germany, where he was arrested following an international manhunt. Authorities used a military plane to fly Magnotta back to Canada because commercial carriers would have had to empty an entire section of seats to accommodate him, reports the Associated Press.

Magnotta is accused of killing 33-year-old Chinese citizen Jun Lin. He is also accused of filming himself having sex with the dismembered body and posting the video online. The police reportedly saw another video showing Magnotta eating parts of the body. Lin’s head is still missing and authorities are expected to ask Magnotta where it is. Prosecutors have charged him with first-degree murder, criminal harassment, defiling a corpse and mailing obscene material.

The victim, who studied computer science at Concordia University, was in a relationship with Magnotta, according to the police. Meanwhile, the Chinese foreign ministry asked for justice to allow the victim to rest in peace. Media reports say Magnotta will undergo psychiatric evaluation before making his second appearance at court via videoconference on Thursday.
