WATCH: Virginia Weatherman Gets Weekend’s Apocalypse Kinda Right, with Extra Godzilla

Aaron Justus knew the East Coast was looking at some lousy weather this weekend. We just didn't heed his warning.

For a vast swathe of the eastern U.S., this week’s weather has been a disaster — a massive storm system known as a ‘derecho’ slammed into Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and all the way West to Ohio, knocking out power for up to 3 million people and leaving 14 dead. But as a Richmond, Va., meteorologist tried to make clear last week, it could have been much much worse. 

Aaron Justus, a meteorologist for Richmond’s CBS 6 news channel, had his own ideas for what the weekend’s weather held in store — a parody video featuring what could be the world’s last possible weather forecast. Hey Virginians — at least you didn’t have to worry about Godzilla.
