For a vast swathe of the eastern U.S., this week’s weather has been a disaster — a massive storm system known as a ‘derecho’ slammed into Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and all the way West to Ohio, knocking out power for up to 3 million people and leaving 14 dead. But as a Richmond, Va., meteorologist tried to make clear last week, it could have been much much worse.
Aaron Justus, a meteorologist for Richmond’s CBS 6 news channel, had his own ideas for what the weekend’s weather held in store — a parody video featuring what could be the world’s last possible weather forecast. Hey Virginians — at least you didn’t have to worry about Godzilla.
