I went to La Tomatina  last year with some mates on a bus tour. I was a bit nervous as I thought they might not get us there in time, but they were great and got us as close to the actual fight as possible (about a ten minute walk down hill to the heart of the action) we were right in the middle and got completely covered- loved it! After, the trip included a shower, swim and lunch in a country park close by - the shower was a welcome relief and the lunch was a traditional Paella with loads of booze. the tour was a great way to do La Tomatina, it was a great crowd we were with from all over the world. thisisvalencia.com organised the tour./
