Sometimes a man just knows what he wants. Such is the case with Fredrick Denney, who police say barricaded himself into a hotel room and threatened to shoot cops unless he was given pizza and Paris Hilton’s hand in marriage. Like you haven’t considered doing that for a slice.

Denney, 61, locked himself into a hotel room at a Hampton Inn in Belmont, North Carolina on Saturday morning. After causing a disturbance in the hotel, the man barricaded himself in his room and threatened to shoot the police unless his demands were met. Several agencies, including the Regional SWAT Team, responded to the incident. The police tried to reason with the man — mainly, we’d guess, about his chances of marrying the Hilton hotel heiress, but Denney would not listen, despite hours of negotiation. After the breakdown in talks, authorities swooped in and Denney was pepper sprayed, thrown into handcuffs, and taken into custody.

According to local news station WCNC, Denney was also taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation, not merely because of his taste in women. Authorities told WCNC that Denney, who is from Oregon, has had several run-ins with SWAT Teams in other states. His bond was set at $90,000.  He’s now facing several charges including being “intoxicated and disorderly.” No word on whether he ever got his pizza.
