for all the families in this tragic event my thoughts and prayers go out to you, as well as the holmes family no one wants this to be there child or have the pain and stress that is caused for the now, but as far as this POS acting like he's has a sad face on in court get the frick out of here,  he doesn't deserve to even act like that what a coward, taking on innocent people enjoy a night out there a definition for a male like this and i say male because hes 24 not a boy but nowhere near a man just a pussy a big loser who has no courage what so ever, and if any judge tries to let the damn lawyer have him plead insanity i have no faith in our justice system, i am 100% for the death penalty, as a member of the armed forces we lost brave men who served there country with pride and ones whom  were lucky enough to be home with loved one and not at war to be take in these conditions, but i don't feel the death penalty serves this, thats the easy way out he should be locked in a cage like the animal he is and be treated the way an animal should be i've met people who have gone to prison before and he would't last 1 day in there i say feed him to the lions (personally he should be thrown in a cage with10 Marines  let justice be served till he chokes on his own blood some say this my be harsh but nothing will be more harsh then the empty homes, feelings or sorrow or the good men, women and children taken off this earth to shortly made they rest in peace! I think that it's better for public places to have metal detectors or security guards inspecting people's bags and also to have wands in order to prevent another tragedy. When I was in high school in the Philippines, the cadets inspected my bags and also all of the students' bags and they also did pat-downs on me and all of the students before the students and I proceeded to our classrooms. I felt a lot safer when they did this everyday.

I carry everywhere I go and this is true evidence that bad things can happen anywhere any time. Don't belive the hype and sign a gun control law because of this. My deepest appoligies go out to the families hurt and killed in this tragedy.

Did Holmes intend to literally copy cat the Batman reality, turn the Hollywood fantasy into some sort of lurid hyper reality? Was he attempting to use the occasion to make his own grand statement about reality, art, violence, identity, to cement his own credo as the all time villain of all time, the real Joker, the real enemy not just that of Batman but that of a live film audience, and the town of Aurora at large?

How Jason Holmes must have marveled to himself as he pummeled bullet after bullet over and over...

1 good person with a gun could of stopped most of the killings.   gun control would not do a thing as the idiot that shot the people would not of cared about gun control.   think about that.

I live in the area and have friends who were in Century 16 and the specific theater where this happened...it's awful and I'm so sorry for the families who now have to deal with this loss.
