Attention, all you non-believers: we finally have proof that instant karma is a very real thing. A 22-year-old man fell into a gorge and injured himself while attempting to sneak into a Nickelback concert Tuesday night. What remains unclear, however, is what provoked the fateful, immediate punishment: trying to attend a concert without paying, or, you know, being a Nickelback fan.
Kevin Beaudette, 22, fell into a creek embankment after losing his footing at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY, the Albany Times-Union reports. He slid 40 feet into the Geyser Brook Gorge, where medical crews were unable to help him out. The Saratoga Springs Fire Department arrived at the scene and helped retrieve Beaudette from the embankment. Dan Keefe, a spokesman for the state office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, told the Times Union the man was acting on his own and was highly intoxicated at the time. Rescuers from the fire department had to use a basket to retrieve him from the gorge.
Once removed safely from the gorge, Beaudette was taken to nearby Albany Medical Center Hospital. He was treated for cuts and bruises and released Wednesday. No charges have been filed against him. NewsFeed suspects that all parties involved agreed the shame was punishment enough.
