Eminem is more popular than Rihanna and Lady Gaga. At least on Facebook. On Saturday, the Detroit-born rapper surpassed 60 million Facebook Likes — the first person to hit that milestone. He is now the most-liked human on the social-networking site. In fact, given the 955 million total users on Facebook, Eminem is liked by one in every 16 people on the site.
He can’t claim the most-liked page, though, in which he ranks fifth. (The most-liked page is the official Facebook for Every Phone page with 116.82 million Likes.) In fact, Eminem’s Likes could easily surpass Facebook itself. The company has only 70.21 million Likes of its official page on its own site.

The 39-year-old “Lose Yourself” singer is currently gaining some 24,000 Likes on average per day, according to CNET, and has garnered 180,000 new likes in the past week alone, according to PageData. That’s a lot of new fans for a Facebook page that is rarely updated. The artist (or more likely a PR minion) generally uses the page to promote bands on his label and the occasional discount code to his web store.
Eminem may not be sitting in the Facebook race’s pole position for long. Superstar singer Rihanna currently has 59 million Facebook fans, and Slim Shady only surpassed Lady Gaga (who has 53 million fans) last summer. The “Pokerface” singer could easily rally her social media troops the next time one of her singles hits the Billboard charts.

While Eminem (né Marshall Mathers) may reign supreme on Facebook, on Twitter it’s hardly a contest. Eminem, with merely 11 million followers, lags far behind Rihanna’s 23.4 million followers. Both are surpassed by Justin Bieber with 25.8 million, and Lady Gaga tops that list with 27 million.
