The South Korean rapper and reality TV judge PSY has a viral hit on his hands. Just don't try to make too much sense out of it.

Meet PSY. You may not know his name, but according to the YouTube stats, some 28 million of you have watched the video for his highly addictive song, “Gangnam Style” in the month since it was uploaded. While the South Korean performer and reality TV judge is little known outside of his own country, “Gangnam Style” and its weird, wonderfully watchable video is now a certified viral hit.

Much of the video features PSY riding an invisible horse through the streets of the Seoul’s Gangnam district, which gives you a pretty good sense of the clip’s tongue-in-cheek vibe. (In fact, the video has sparked a dance craze, aptly called “the invisible horse.”) “Gangnam means, it’s like Beverly Hills of Korea,” said PSY, a.k.a. Jae-Sang Park, in an interview with ABC News.

“But the guy doesn’t look like Beverly Hills. Dance doesn’t look like Beverly Hills. … And the situation in music video doesn’t look like Beverly Hills. But he keeps saying I’m Beverly Hills style. So that’s the point. It’s sort of a twist.”

PSY’s meteoric rise to internet superstardom hasn’t gone unnoticed by other celebrities. According to ABC News, both T-Pain and Josh Groban have tweeted about the singer’s viral hit, and PSY’s management company claims that Justin Bieber has shown interest in collaborating with the artist.

PSY  released a new video Tuesday for “Oppa Is Just My Style,” set to the “Gangnam Style” beat but featuring Hyun-a of K-pop girl group 4Minute (who their own viral hit with “Bubble Pop!“). It’s a glitzier, glossier and more more choreographed video than the original, but PSY manages to get in a few moves worthy of a giggle or two. Whether or not it will be a viral hit, well, that’s in the eyes — and clicks — of the beholder.

Do you understand the words to this song? The song is full of seeking pleasures and delight, especially when night comes, which implies a strong meaning that even the virtuous people are transformed at night that is showing the instinct for pleasures is strong in most(but not all, people). The song lyrics tell about Gangnam district that bars and clubs are concentrated wherein many people enjoy the nights pursuing pleasure .:))For your reference, Oppa means older brother which most (married)men'd love to hear from girls because some girls call her male friend or husband "Oppa".The Korean slang "Gangnam Style" refers to a luxurious lifestyle associated with the Gangnam district, an affluent and trendy area of Seoul.Feel free to ask if you have any questions.:))http://www.facebook.com/multiw... I'm not Korean, but I do know his name. Kpop is HUGE over here in Singapore. Also, the video does make sense as a parody of Gangnam, a richass district in Korea.

I'm getting that feeling, ya know, when you love something that isn't popular and then it becomes popular and you don't want to see the hipsters enjoying it.  I'm selfish like that, I want Psy all to myself.  Or at least Hyuna :P

LOL YES! I was a fan of PSY before Gangnam Style and I'm happy that it's getting popular.  He deserves to be recognized but I was a fan before and I guess I'm just selfish... Haha!

I hate how YG made Hyuna sing in a Cutise voice.  That's not her style.

Technically "Bubble Pop" was Hyun-a's solo single so Hyun-a had her own viral hit with "Bubble Pop" not 4 minute.
