The same day that Jay Leno discussed layoffs on the Tonight Show on NBC, over at ABC Jimmy Kimmel was celebrating his own network’s decision to move his show up to 11:35 from its current midnight air time. “It’s the most important 25 minutes of my life since the first 14 times I had sex,” Kimmel said in his opening monologue. For those who’ve complained that Jimmy Kimmel Live was on too late for them, he said, they’ll just need a new excuse. “Like, ‘Your show sucks,’” Kimmel quipped.
