Lindsay Lohan was arrested for allegedly hitting a man with her Porsche in the wee hours of Wednesday morning outside of a New York City nightclub. Police took the once-rising star into custody outside Dream Downtown, a hotel and nightclub, around 2: 30 a.m. ET. Reports say Lohan was driving slowly through an alley in New York’s busy Meatpacking district, attempting to park her car, when the alleged incident occurred, according to MTV News.

“[Lohan]’s driving in this freight area, going very slow,” a police source told the New York Daily News, “She’s hitting her horn because there’s a lot of people in the area. The crowd moves but she kind of brushes against this one guy. He runs up to her, tells her she hit him. They get out of the car, there’s some interaction with her, her entourage and the guy.”

Lohan then reportedly left the scene of the accident and returned to the club with her friends. The victim, an unidentified 34-year-old man, called the police to report the incident. The troubled starlet was subsequently arrested on her way out of the nightclub for leaving the scene of an accident, which is a misdemeanor.

Lohan was booked and quickly released with a desk appearance ticket. The New York Daily News assures us that Lohan’s lawyer took possession of the car, a Porsche Cayenne, which was reportedly not Lohan’s. Meanwhile, the victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital and treated for a knee injury.

The incident occurs mere days after Lohan took to Twitter to muse that reckless driver Amanda Bynes was never arrested for her shenanigans, while Lohan was jailed for her crimes, including theft and drunk driving.

TMZ reports that as of 6 a.m. ET, Lohan “had no idea she hit anybody and it wasn’t until she came out and got arrested that she knew anything was going on.” According to TMZ, Lohan is calling the incident “really fishy” and is “not going to let the incident go and is planning on fighting it to the end.”
