The London Olympics didn’t go so well for Australian rower Joshua Booth. Shortly after failing to medal in the men’s eight rowing event, he was arrested for allegedly damaging a storefront while intoxicated. At the police station, he fainted and hit his head, sending him to the hospital. His coach was none too pleased with the 3:30 a.m. call alerting him of the situation. “”We understand there was alcohol involved,” Nick Green, chef of mission for Australia’s Olympic Committe, told reporters. “Again, I don’t know all the details.” In the end, no charges were filed, although the police investigation is apparently ongoing.
