Of course, no episode of SNL would be complete without some political commentary, especially when we’re in the heart of campaign season. “Weekend Update” anchor Seth Meyers riffed on Mitt Romney’s recent “tailspin” — from his “47%” remarks to his reported use of self-tanning lotion before addressing Latino voters. But he directs the main question (more like an accusation) — “What are you doing?” — to President Obama. The President could have just sit back and let the Romney campaign self-destruct, but no, says Meyers, Obama had to go and get in his own gaffe with that remark about how you can’t change Washington from the inside. “Take a note from the Queen of England,” Meyers advised the President. “She’s still in power because she’s only said 11 words since 1940.”
