After the Debate: Last night millions of Americans tuned in to watch the presidential candidates debate each other, and to paraphrase David Letterman, it’s a shame President Obama couldn’t be there. The commander-in-chief seemed distant and stiff, even with the sound off, and pretty much ceded the field to Mitt Romney. If Obama couldn’t vigorously defend his last four years, asks TIME’s Michael Grunfeld, why should we give him another four? (TIME.com)
