Michaele Salahi, reality show star and one half of the couple who brazenly crashed a White House state dinner in 2009, reportedly became engaged to Journey guitarist Neal Schon at a benefit concert in Baltimore. On Sunday, according to The Washington Post‘s Reliable Source, Schon proposed:

Midway through, the veteran guitarist pulled his ladylove from the wings (she’d earlier officiated at a pre-concert fashion show) and dropped to one knee. She said yes, to cheers from the crowd, reports our colleague Ben Sumner — and then the band played its 1983 power ballad “Faithfully,” of course.

Salahi, who appeared on the short-lived reality show Real Housewives of D.C., was first linked to the musician last year, when her husband — fellow White House gatecrasher Tareq Salahi — claimed she was missing or may have been kidnapped. It turned out Salahi wasn’t missing, she’d just gone on tour with Journey.

Tareq Salahi filed for divorce earlier this year, and also filed a $50 million lawsuit against Schon — which was settled in August for an undisclosed sum, despite the fact it had been thrown out by two Virginia judges. For the curious, TMZ has published a picture purporting to be the enormous-looking 11.4 carat ring that Schon gave Salahi.
