Unfortunately, this week’s “Weekend Update” segment did not include an appearance from everyone’s favorite sporadically-recurring character Stefon. But it did feature another semi-regular known as Drunk Uncle, played by Bobby Moynihan. The notably alcoholic, racist, ignorant character chatted with host Seth Meyers about the week’s political events. “So were you surprised by any of the races?” Meyers asked. “Oh yeah, sure, black, Hispanics, Koreans, all of them,” Drunk Uncle replied. He also riffed on the problems with today’s youth and explained how politics was a much simpler beast back in his day. “There was no Green Party, there was no Senate,” Drunk Uncle slurred. “If you wanted a House of Representatives, you built one yourself.”
