Disks, tamagotchis, 56k modems and more importantly, the Oregon Trail – Microsoft sure knows how us to get us reminiscing.

The software company has debuted a new Internet Explorer ad that might be tugging on your heart strings just a little bit, especially if you grew up during the 90s. In an Instagram-less world, actually eating your Lunchables instead of photographing it remained supreme.

The ad, which is clearly aimed at Gen Y-ers between the ages of 20 and 35, invokes some super serious nostalgia between the demographic most likely to use other browsers. It’s all part of Microsoft’s newest campaign over “the brower you love to hate.”

While Microsoft has us yearning for simpler times, it’s still hard to see us ditching Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox in favor of Internet Explorer just yet. But, still, it is a really great ad.

If I switch over to Internet Explorer 10, does a set of pogs come with it?

I didn't start out hating Microsoft, but there came BING, I hate BING I think the makers are trolls you click a story then you have to click a link to get the rest of the story, morons. Now it's the stupid microsoft ad, the first time I watched it and it was interesting the hundredth thousandth time they try to make me watch it if I want to watch a news event is infuriating. I now hate microsoft so much I can't even look at their logo.

Another ad, where they spend however many minutes NOT telling me how IE can improve my life. FAIL. (Like their surface ad which is all about how you can dance around with a surface and tap it 'shut', instead of telling you how it will make your life easier, because guess what? It won't.

i can set my text size and character encoding in firefox in seconds while i gave up trying in IE along time ago.  my old eyes, even with glasses, just can easily read the teensy tiny letters presented to me by IE and to increase text size for every page is just a no go.

And what does it have to do with IE? Not much. So will it get people to use it?
