Your taco is about to get a whole lot cooler.
Or your Doritos are about to get a lot more taco. Either way, fans of Taco Bell’s wildly popular Dorito Tacos Locos (especially certain residents of California, Colorado and Washington State, nudge nudge, wink wink) will soon have a new favorite late night snack. Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed confirmed on CBS This Morning that Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos would be rolled out very soon. The news was important enough for CBS to tweet about it:
The fast food chain had teased their Facebook fans with the possibility of a new Cool Ranch Dorito Loco Taco earlier this year, posting a photo of a Cool Ranch Dorito bag next to a taco with the tagline “Anything could happen in 2013.” Now “anything” has happened, as Taco Bell looks to expand its Dorito Locos Tacos menu into Cool Ranch territory. The product, which was originally introduced for Taco Bell’s 50th anniversary celebration, has quickly become the fast food chain’s most popular item. In fact, as Newsfeed noted back in June, it’s Taco Bell’s most popular menu item ever, since the founding of the company in 1962. Over 200 million Locos Tacos were sold in the product’s first seven months alone.
Excuse us, we need to go wait in line.
